For this project, we had to create the branding for a music festival. I decided to base my festival around mostly electronic music, so I thought it would be fitting to make the design look "digital" by making the imagery ASCII and/or pixelated. I was inspired by the ornate border and floral elements in Persian rugs, but I wanted to keep it light to reflect the airy/fizzy quality of ASCII imagery. I also kept my designs relatively simple so that the volume of varied red ASCII imagery wouldn't overwhelm the viewer and make the designs look too harsh. In places where there is a lot of red ASCII, it repeats and creates a unified background pattern so that it doesn't draw the eye to too many places at once. 

I chose to use Consolas in all caps for descriptive text to reflect the retro digital style of the design. It stands out enough to draw the viewer's attention but still fits in with the overall look.
